Why not get him a corded electric razor, they start 20-30 us $ , pretty hard to cut yourself with one of those, Go Norelco.

first of all i know a guy with 2 1/2 feet of hair on his head washed maybe once a week. He has alot of facial hair, as long as he shaves at night and in the morning he is ok, teach the kid to shave with any normal razor or get him an electric one found in some stores. It doesnt cut at all and just trims the hair off. Ask around at walmart or something.

Seriously.... every razor on the market that you can buy in a store is a "safety razor".
The only type that is not a safety razor, is the type of shaving done with a straight razor blade on a handle, this is why we call them razor blades, but hardly now a days anyone actually uses them for shaving.
Best advice if your are worried, Buy him an electric razor like a Remington or something, ad make sure it has at least a double screen, triple screen is even better.
Also, every guy has cut himself shaving, it sucks when it happens, but with a store bought razor, he will not sever his jugular vein.
P.S. Do not buy Bargain shavers, like 10 for a dollar, they rip the crap out of your skin.

Those of us who shave with a razor tend to cut ourselves from time to time but it's nothing to worry about. In fact, it's when you nick yourself that you get motivated to learn how to shave better. Men's magazines periodically run articles on how to shave. You could also send him to a barber shop for a professional shave where he can ask the barber for tips on shaving at home.

You are kidding right? He is 16 years old and you won't allow him to shave himself. Do you still cut up his meat for him too?
Leave the boy alone and if you can't take the pressure of him growing up then I would suggest tranquilizers for yourself. If you don't let him learn how to care for himself you are going to be so sorry later on.
But never the less you can get him a battery operated electric razor and it will not cut him. It will try to pull them out by the roots but it won't cut him.

Just have him shave with a normal razor like a Gillette fusion. He can't cut himself that bad unless he's very reckless. Tell him smooth and easy and only up and down. And electric razors are bad for your skin at that age and cause pimples and ingrown hairs so don't let him use them.

awwww!!!! You're such a cute and caring parent! Well, I'm a girl and I know that from shaving my legs, etc that cutting yourself is inevitable. It's a learning process I guess. The more expensive the blade, the safer and the better it is.

What are you living in a cave. ALL razors are safety razors these days. You can probably still buy old fashioned ones that need blades but I know no one who uses those. Get your *** down to Kmart and buy him a pack of disposable razors like everybody else uses.

He is 16. If he cuts himself he is old enough to put on a band aid. I bet once he cuts himself a couple of times he will figure out how to do it without cutting himself. Let him grow up. I've cut myself shaving and I'm still alive!
