My boyfriend of almost three years and I are at the point where we need to sort some things out before moving forward. He's in school and doesn't make much money. My budget is stretched as well. Is there anywhere, a community center, a church anywhere for help? I hate to lose such a wonderful peson because we can't afford some help.

Most churchs offer this service.

Psychmikey has the best answer, go to church. In some they will charge you for the time (its a scheduling thing mostly, to sort out those who are serious from those flakes mostly likely to cancel or not show up because they didn't really care in the first place, that and the minister probably has school loans and things like rent and groceries to pay for), but usually at a lower rate than the big office shrinks. Bear in mind that some church counsellors are also shrinks or have had counseling training too.

There is an interesting extra word that comes to mind when I read your line "I hate to lose such a wonderful person because we can't afford some help." Try the word patience. After that try the word cooperation. An interesting thing about the early hospitals, they discovered that a huge number of folks healed pretty well on their own if they just showed some basic care and helpful consideration. Doctors help, nurses help. Your search for a doctor may be fruitless but if you two get serious about nursing the others needs you might both get well, together. Good luck.
