Because society always wants to point a finger and put a label on everyone and everything. Its statistically proven that most molestation and pedophiles are straight men, even those who violate boys are usually heterosexual males. The idea that a homosexual actually pays taxes and abides by the law is just unfathomable to some people. I'm a Christian and I accept the homosexual community. People want a scapegoat like the Nazis used the Jews as scapegoats, we do it all the time as humans and its wrong of course, but it unfortunately will always be reality.

Ugh!! I'm a christian and I hate when people do that!! I believe that the new testament was meant to replace the old testament. Those old laws like about homosexuals, were supposed to be thrown out. Either you should follow all of them, or none of them! People still use that law because it backs up their own thinking.

Because many homophobes put them in the same category. After all we can't have a homosexual teacher because they will lead children to be homosexuals too. Which is such garbage. A pedophile is totally unrelated to sexual preference.

What the gay community does not want you to think about is the fact that adult men being attracted to female adolescents is called "heterosexuality," while adult men being attracted to male adolescents is called - surprise! - "homosexuality."
Same-sex is, same sex no matter what the age.
What the gay community needs to come to terms with is the hard reality that so many gay men had their first sexual experience as an adolescent with an adult male. That is a traumatic experience, and as long as the wound remains untreated, the victim feels compelled to continually reenact the experience so as to master it or project it onto others.

Because supposedly homosexuality and pedophilia are correlated. I truthfully don't know if it's true or not, but I have heard people say things like "gays are okay, as long as they're not pedophiles." Duh - but it's still extremely rude and pretty much implies that most gays are pedophiles or something. It's pretty stupid.

Because there's a mistaken assumption that men who have sex with boys are considered gay. In this case, it's not exactly correct, because their sexual attraction has more to do with the ages than the genders.

It's called ignorance. They don't know what they are talking about. Gay/Lesbians are not in need of sex, scientifically, so they usually do not commit the crime that ignorant people aquaint them with. These crimes are committed by straight freaky men!!!!
