Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean that everyone isn't out to get you!
Seriously, I wouldn't put anything past the present administration. They will use any and all means available, legal or illegal, to accomplish their agenda. They regard the law as something for other people. BUT real patriots will ALWAYS speak out against tyranny.
It is possible, though not assured, that once this disgusting administration is gone, America may be partially restored to its former greatness. It certainly won't happen without many loud voices of protest, though.

Why do you think the Patriot Act was signed into law?
I just want all you conservatives to know that if you agree with the President's intrusion on our liberties to be something that was necessary, the Patriot Act was designed by the Clinton Administration, but congress at the time decided that the OK City bombing didn't yet warrant controlling Americans like a dictatorship.

With data mining, NSA warrantless wiretaps, etc., do you seriously think that Yahoo Answers is their best resource? No offense, but you need to go back to Paranoid Ideation School for a refresher, because the technology of surveillance has outpaced the growth in your fears of scrutiny. Those Men In Black that haunt your persecutory dreams (and, unfortunately, our constitutional liberties realities) already have much more than they can get from Yahoo Answers.

I doubt that this is "a government thing" because it works, it's fun and it doesn't cost anything...
On the other hand, your next employer is watching and everything you post is liable to be associated with you at some time in the future. You should always assume that everything you write may be archived, collated and used against you at some time in the future. Don't assume that anything is really ananymous.

Yes. They are not only carefully monitoring the answers to the "Am I hot?" and "What shood I eats 4 dinnah?" threads, but they have posted any number of threads recruiting volunteers to set off bombs, hijack airplanes, and other subversive things.
So be very careful if you respond to a question like "Who wants to be a terrorist?" - Big Brother (no, not the one on television - do some googling....) may be watching.
You have been warned....

You know that has crossed my mind in another way. I have suspected this outlet is here to allow us to 'think' we are free to express our opinions and to give us a 'safe' outlet for our frustrations. If we vent here we do not need to take it directly to the politicians who are stripping our rights as we speak. As to using it against us later...you bet. Where are those nasty subversives anyway, oh yeah, on Yahoo answers.

It's not a big deal, though Yahoo signed a deal with the US regime to disclose personal data while google refused under huge pressure. Anyway it wouldn't happen through Yahoo, it usually happens in dark rooms in telecommunication corporations Internet traffic backbones where they "sniff" every byte you send from/to your IP address (encrypted or not)

It seems way too efficient and useful to be a government program of any sort -- and wouldn't there be little oil wells all over the screen?
