People are just shallow. I'm engaged to the most wonderful man and he is in fact almost an inch and a half shorter then me and he's great I wouldn't trade him for the world ^^.I'm tall on the other hand I'm 6ft and slender and he is a little shorter and chubby. Of course you have to be physically attracted to someone for the relationship to work but stop actually looking for the physical aspects and you will find someone who you are most mentally attuned to.

I believe it is because although they might be the same height, men are usually more stockier that women and therefore tend to look shorter. Also, as confirmed earlier, heels do play a major part in the height factor.

When you set a man and a woman of the same height, the woman will be taller setting down. A woman has more height from her but to the top of her head. A man has more height from his but to his feet.

I am not exactly sure but it may have something to do with a womans stature, the way she carries herself. Women tend to walk with a straighter back and better posture and we tend to hold our heads up and proud! That may be why.......can't say for sure though!!
