you will be able to keep your yahoo screen name just down load the messenger on the new computer. If you want all of your pictures Upload them to a site like www.snapfish.com or www.shutterfly.com they will keep your pictures online for you and then when you get your new computer just re save them to your computer or if you have a cd burner burn them to a cd first and use that to transfer everything over again.

Do you have a CD burner? Just get a CD-RW and you can use a data copier to copy all your data onto the CD. Then you can just put the CD in the new computer and basically drag and drop all your files into your new computer.
Or you can use http://www.xdrive.com and upload all your files into their file hosting server. Then on your new computer, you will need internet access to download them back into your new hard drive.

Yes make sure that you have emailed them to yourself or make a data disc backup DVD-rw so that you can still have all of your info and yes you will keep your yahoo sn. Remember its a new computer however since yahoo is Internet based you don't have to worry about losing that until 8/17/06.

One way for moving some of your data files would be to get a usb flash drive. Load to the flash drive, plug into the new machine and download. Rinse and repeat.

You can use your Yahoo and other web screen names on any computer. You get things off your hard drive by putting them on a disk or CD and then putting them onto your new computer.

for your pics, you can upload them to yahoo photos for free. you can create albums to organize them.you can always access them by connecting to yahoo. as for your other files, try to save it in a cd of you can also use a usb storage device if you have one.
