While it would be very good customer service for them to offer to let you take another quart, they are under no obligation to do so. You bought it. You broke it. It's not their fault. After paying for something you can't expect the store to be responsible for it unless they sold you a faulty product.

Nope once you purchase something it is yours. Your liable for it, its your responsibility. Just like once you seell a car its no longer your responsibility to cover it. Some places will make you pay for it even if you drop it before you buy it.

If the attendant dropped it while handing it to you or your bar tender dropped your drink then its their responsibility not yours.

Of course they should let you get another (if your not already intoxicated), accidents happen. Just don't expect them to give it to you for free.

If their the ones who dropped it, then you should get it for free.

If they're super nice, sometimes they will. not everybody goes by the "you break it you bought it" policy (even though you already bought it).

However, under the circumstances, you're probably lucky they don't make you clean it up! (especially if you were drunk when you dropped it)

"should they"??
No.
They don't owe you anything for your clumsiness.
It would be the polite thing to do, but they are not obligated unless something in the store caused you to trip, drop & break the item.
