It is in the state of Illinois which is in the Midwest. Chicago is famous for its slaughter houses for cattle and for former Mayor Richard Daley who blasted a speaker at the National Democrat Convention in 1968. That division in the party cost Hubert Humphrey the presidency. It is also called the Hub of the U.S. because so much shipping goes through Chicago to the rest of the country.
