addiction is a very powerful thing,it makes people do really destructive things and not care about the consequences.
I am a recovering addict( been clean for 15 months). It took me losing my kids to want to get clean. They were gone for 12 months before I was able to regain custody of them.
I thank God everyday, for giving me the strength to deal with life
without turning to drugs to forget.Without the love of God and my family I would most likely have died lost in my addiction.

One of their biggest problems is that they are given huge amounts of money, but are under unnatural pleasure to preform and look good on stage/camera/tape (if they are a music star). Often in jobs such as modelling, drugs were used to keep the weight off and to help them relax as well. In TV the pressure is to sound, look and act good on camera despite feelings that may be the opposite.
The belief comes is that no-one will be harmed through their behaviours. They believe that it is a victimless crime, that they are supposed to have fun in some way.
This is when the families get broken up, the children taken away, the careers ruined. I read somewhere that for every gram of cocaine, there is at least one shooting or stabbing committed, either by the suppliers to the farmers producing the stuff, or the dealers to their 'clients' in the UK.
One defence- the snooping of the media seems to have reached an unprecedented scale, with many newspapers deliberatly setting out to harass and spy upon the famous. These paparazzi, in my eyes at least, do not seem to realise these celebrities are human, and for that they seem heartless predators, making money from misery just to get on the front page.

Some celebrities may not be all that bright.Quite a couple are high school dropouts. A lot of them consists of those with pretty faces, those who slept with the right person, & those who were in the right place at the rigt time. Some are talented at what they do but being talented doesnt always mean being smart. You dont have 2 get a college degree 2 act or 2 sing. This is why many of them are so totally stupid. Of course, there are many that work hard & are intelligent & educated & those are the ones u wont see getting caught doing stupidness.

Celebrities are put on the spot. They have more money than they can spend and honestly, do you think that none of these celebrities you admire personally even do not do drugs? I am certain that with the amount of money they have underhand they probably slackened any moral restraints and went for the high.
Numerous celebrities have been known to do drugs, most recently Kate Moss, Pete Dogherty, Cindy Crawford. They're pretty much open about it. Popular radio personalities in America like Mancow openly talk about their affection for a bit of weed now and then.
one of the fastest things that change people is money.
And these people aren't going to jail, anytime soon, when have you ever seen a celebrity get a serious jail sentence? Hah.
They will never pay for their consequences and furthermore they are unconcerned for it.
Besides, dozens of people among you are doing drugs anyway and couldn't care less. An ex of mine was doing coke for a good few weeks before I caught on (though I don't know why the frantic, foam-at-mouth behavior and bizzarre memory lapses didn't clue me in). Money or not, they do it.
I think its a societal problem, increasingly, but then its also natural selection. I truly believe that every idiot that gets hooked on a drug and overdoses or crashes into a tree and dies is just being weeded out. What SENSE is it for a living creature to slowly kil lthemselves by inhaling, ingesting, or inserting poison into their body every day? Its so dumb. Since mankind is so established and overpopulation is taking its toll, I think in the end anything to thin the crowd and lessen the gene pool of the weak of mind is fine.
I'm severe about it because I don't sympathize anyone whose life goes in the dumpster because of their OWN CHOICE! Fine, I hope they all go, and let them. I don't see why we're so concerned. What sucks is that our prisons are clogged with drug addicts and pushers and we're paying to keep them alive so they can get out and do it again. Just take them all out. Honestly it's just a plague of stupid people, is all.

Unfortunately this wasn't just for a few minutes of pleasure ... the man clearly has serious problems, celebrity or not.
I still find it difficult to see past the man I saw for years in Red Dwarf then as a stand-up and also on his bands very small show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Remember also that this guy spent over a year on remand after a false rape allegation ... I don't think this fully explains his fall but it can't of helped.
Go on smeg head ... get your head together Craig.
Peace out

People are human and part of that lets each of us make mistakes. Often when the need is great the judgment becomes clouded and mistakes are made. The perfect person has not been made. Even Jesus made mistakes but His were for the benefit of mankind. Don't take me for a religious nut but that was a good focal point to show how life is. In your lifetime there will be things you look back on and wonder why you did them.

They are human just like you and I. Humans make mistakes. You give someone a lot of money and free time who isn't used to having either and trouble will ensue. Its human nature. For every celebrity that gets in trouble, there are 10 that don't.

It is not that they think nobody sees what they are doing, they know that are are being stalked 24 / 7 but they are people just like the rest of us. Hands up anyone who has always been perfect! I don't think so.

They could care less. They are just like anyone else. Think about all the other people that are hooked on drugs and not famous. People do what they want to do to include stupid decisions.

We may think that religious leaders, statesmen, doctors, lawyers, and perhaps our own friends should be honest and virtuous - but popular celebrities? What would qualify them? They, like you, me and everyone, are human: Romans 3:23 !
