she is not just like it to me, she is like it to everyone. she tries to act superior but gets angry when we laugh at it. i've tried to like her and at the risk of sounding immature: she always starts it.

probably because she is trying to cover up her inadequacies and it may have been the way her mother treated her or her mother in law treated her she sounds like she is very unhappy and miserable in her own life and wants everyone else to suffer right along with her

well I think they all have to be vindictive bitches, contractual small print in the wedding vows or some ****. but the fat part is just luck. perhaps shes a stress eater or never got that belemia thing down just right.

What would she do if you tried killing her with kindness? I work with the public, and this helps sometimes with particularly unpleasant people-- I greet them with friendliness before they have a chance to speak first, I smile, and they are so stunned it disarms them.

maybe youve done something that she didnt like or maybe she just doesnt like the fact that she's lost her daughter to a man..... and your that man. dont take it too personally and ask your wife calmly why she thinks her mother dislikes you???
