Right on for the peeps who said a magic eraser. But Mr Clean NOW makes a Magic Eraser mop, so you dont have to get on your hands and knees to scrub scuffs away. You just get it a lil wet, wring out most of the moisture, scrub with the white side, flip it over and wipe it up with the blue side. They are larger and thicker so last a bit longer than the reg Magic Erasers. And if you already have a sponge mop, you can just buy the refill.

Skid marks from shoes are a nightmare on a light kitchen floor.
They can leave big black or grey drags.
The key to cleaning shoe marks off the kitchen floor is to act quickly.
What you need to do is use a sponge that has a little washing up liquid and warm water on and rub from side to side quite hard over the stain.
This should help to lift the mark and it should disappear from sight.

First of all it's the composition of the shoe sole that causes it. I usually rub my shoe over the spot and it vanaishes.
You don't need a huge labor intensive method at all, and if you can, find alternative soles in styles of shoes that are OK.
It really is just one more minor, tedium that a homeowner is presented with. If you don't actually want to get on hands and knees there are sponge mops with scrubber pads that will do an adequate job with any mild floor detergent.

Take your shoe and twist it on the same spot. Usually that will cause the rubber that has been ground into the floor to peel up. This will remove black shoe marks from tile. If that does not work, or it does not get it all up, use a damp scouring pad.

Remove any excess then dab with white spirit or a stain remover. Any remaining colour can be treated by soaking for one hour is a glycerine solution (1 part to 2 parts water) or, alternatively, with methylated spirits, however, test for suitability before proceeding. Sponge or wash in detergent, as appropriate.

This may sound silly, but all you have to do is use the bottom of your rubber soled shoe and run your foot back over the spot. It comes right off.
