Of course you can view time internally or externally. Internal would be the time in which you plan to fulfill the dreams and goals that you have developed for yourself. Externally is the time in which you are suppose to fulfill goals based upon the time of others. Ex. by 21 finish your B.S., 30 get married, 36 have kids, etc.
Or it is now 10:35 in Washington, DC.

i have a very poor concept of time, being high end dyslexic...
for me the day is divided into several times...
{time btw, is an man made concept, i feel no shame, in not understanding it}
time to wake up
time to eat
time to sleep..
