The news is supposed to be information based on facts being brought to the knowledge of the public. What the news is mostly at this juncture is fact, with added over exaggerated opinion and commentary by newscasters who are fueling the fires and fanning the flames around the world creating more chaos. Its all about money and ratings with a little fact thrown in.

whatever the drive by media can use to harm Pres Bush or make America the bad guys!! and i think most people are sick of it!! the elite media even rolled over the death of zarqowi like it was no big deal... and if he were still alive they would be calling Bush stupid for not being able to kill 1 guy!! people should stop buying these terrible news papers.. FOX news all the way!!! i watch CNN for 5 min and i wanna commit suicide!

What the news editors consider will sell most papers or attract most viewers.
(This is not as cynical as it sounds, because we hope important stuff will be included.)

news is about wat is important to readers (or viewers), especially the super important things like things going on with the war and the government. if its in the news then it more than likely that it interests a whole lot of people.

Whatever is going on. Usually, it seems, it is mostly what is bad.
