I don't know if this is a normal feeling of muscles contracting or things within me expanding at six weeks. I went to immediate care to see if it was a UTI or bladder infection or anything and they are taking FOREVER with the results, so I'm getting impatient. I don't pee a great amount thru the day, maybe more frequently, but not a lot of pee comes out, except in mornings. My stomach cramps a little when I have to pee especially bad. Sometimes I am sore under my left ribs, like I've been running and have gotten a cramp. I haven't had my first appointment with my OB/GYN yet so I haven't gotten to ask any questions, like what feelings to expect in my body. Anyone else have or had similar problems?

The pain is not UNBEARABLE, just nagging I guess. Lying down sometimes helps, sometimes.

I know exactly what your going through. I had the same thing and doc said it was normal. My back pain was always there. Thats how I found out I was pregnant. It does subside after a bit though. Later on your hips may get sore too. But the back thing near drove me nuts! Good luck and enjoy your time...gets lots of sleep cause your going to need it soon lol.

I had lower back pain my first 2 months of pregnancy so far and I think you should be checked by an OB/Gyn to be sure its not an ectopic pregnancy or a molar pregnancy, just to be sure, both can cause back pain and can be bothersome, and cause cramps. Otherwise it's probably normal. If the results are taking a long time for a UTI then take an over-the-counter test, you can buy a test that checks for UTI's at a Walgreens and they'll be where the Monistat and Vagistat and pregnancy tests are usually.

This may be totally normal, due to hormonal changes and stretching of the ligaments and uterus. Especially if this is your first pregnancy. But i would visit your doctor as soon as possible, to rule out ectopic pregnancy and of course, a UTI. The peeing thing - it was pretty much an annoying side effect for me through the whole course of my pregnancies - first trimester, your hormones make it happen, the second trimester, Junior is jumping and kicking on your bladder and in the last trimester, the baby's head is taking up a lot of space down there! Ah the joys!
Drink lots of fluids, get some rest - growing babies is hard work.

Cant help ya with the prego thing. But is your pee drak or this is gross has and unusaul odor? If you have the need to pee alot, but dont acutallly have a lot of pee peeing out. Very possible a kidney infection. Drink leomade and cranberry juice. Low is sugar.

Thos symptoms are verrry common in the first stages of pregnancy, I was concerned though too and mine ended up miscarrying (don't freak out yet though!)...call your OB, tell them your concerns, tell them you want an ultrasound unless you can wait for your appointment (I was too scared to wait), they should be able to find a heartbeat at 6 weeks.
