Yet again the press, in the link, have got it wrong. The man in Aberdeen was not wearing an England shirt he was in a car which had a six inch English flag on it. He was waiting for a friends child after school. The guy who attacked his just picked up his shopping & walked off after the attack.
It makes me ashamed to be an Aberdonian.
High time all the anti-english crap stopped.

This is an occurrence in Belfast too!!! I'm a catholic in Belfast who (as I have a right to) calls herself Irish. My sister-in-Law is English. Although they live over here now, she and my niece are English, so wear an England top - why shouldn't they?? But all our friends are keeping her going because of this and say she should wear an Irish one!! Buy why she's not Irish!!!
Now my friends would never dream of beating up or even insulting someone cause of that, but it does happen. By the same token if someone is wearing an Ireland top they'll get abuse too. It's just a bit messed up over here!! Stupid really. If my sister-in-law and niece where Spanish - everyone of our friends would have Spain tops on!!! That what gets to me!!!

I agree it's pathetic, I just asked a similar question 10 mins. ago on the news and events section. Has everyone gone mad in this world cup or using the cup as an excuse for english bashing or whatever other senseless reason

Just accept it, football fans are by and large thuggy, aggressive, thoughtless males.
Sport is simply an alternative as an outlet of agression from killing people/war. Where once people cared about who won wars, now we're cheering on people kicking a ball around instead.

its really disgusting that football has come to this i think england and scotland should be banned from football for a while until their fans can learn to control themselves. it is really becoming unbearable now the ruthless behaviour of the english and scottish fans
