During 1st pregnancy labor, does the amount of blood loss during labor have anything to do w/how much blood a woman normally loses during menstruation? If a woman normally bleeds alot during her periods, is she bound to lose an insane amount of blood during labor?

No. There is no connection to blood loss during menstruation and blood loss during delivery.
Normal delivery involves little blood loss in most case. As you can imagine though, each person and circumstance is different.

ask your Dr. I didn't loose a lot of blood during labor i have 2 kids but have 2 and 3 days bleeding during my period.

I didn't have a lot of blood during the labor and delivery of either of my kids.
Afterward was a different story.... You will basically spend the next 4-6 weeks on your period.

no... most women bleed more than just menstruation bleeding...When I was in labor I started to get dizzy because I loss so much blood. You also run the risk of your uterus not wanting to contract back to its original shape...you can loose alot of blood

No, to help support the baby the amount of blood volume nearly doubles.
I'm not a doc but I asked mine the same question that's what he told me.
You may bleed for several weeks after as well, and your first period will be in there somewhere.

You gain an extra 50% of your body's blood durring pregnancy. It supports the placenta and baby through out your term.
That blood is lost durring the last stage of labor, and in the hours after.

no, when you start to see some blood during labor it really isnt all that much...plus, you wont even be thinking about that when the time comes. after i gave birth to my daughter i only had heavy bleeding for a couple of days...then it wasnt real heavy at all.
