a rising sign is the sign that was in the 1st house (near the horizon where the sun would come up this is why its called rising) to find this take the TIME of your birth and remember that your normal sun sign is the rising sign IF you were born while the sun was rising while you born. but again you do 2 things here and if you have those 2 things look for a natal chart maker here on the internet or a professional astrologer. what you need is the exact time of birth (clock time) and place of birth( nearest city)

Well, for starters you can go to your local library and check out their selection of "Astrology" books. Most of them have charts that are easy to understand. The essential thing that you will need to do your own chart is your "Exact-Time" of birth. If you have that, then your on your way!
