Evolution happens fast when there is a strong selection factor such as UV rays. Ape-like ancestors evolved from tree-dwelling furred species somewhere near the equator in Africa. When they lost their fur they soon began to have darker skin - on the equator having some protection against the sun is a strong selection factor for increased skin pigmentation. So the first true humans were, if not very black, then certainly quite dark skinned. Not sure if the ones that left to form Europeans and Asians, left before that happened, or after, then lost some of the skin pigmentation.

Pigmentation alone, the only real difference between so called "white" people and so called "black" people is about 0.25 grammes, or less, of a substance called melanin. That's about enough to make a small pile on a UK 5 pence piece. Apart from that, we eat similar things , have similar hopes and aspirations and live in similar communities, in fact here in the UK we tend to live alongside one another. There are exceptions to that, usually NAZIs, who I am reliably informed come from Dagenham, not Barking as we all thought, (so no jokes about Barking mad then!).

Black people are black because of a substance called "Melanin" that everybody has in their skin. Black people have more Melanin so their skin color is dark. White people have less Melanin so they are a light tan color. I guess you could say that the only true white people are Albino's who have very very little or no Melanin in their skin.

When people settled into different parts of the land their skin adapted to the sun's intensity. Melanin, which makes skin pigmentation happen, is intensified by the sun. Ergo if you live closer to the equator your skin becomes darker. nearer the Poles lighter, Simple

genetically it is to protect the body from the sun and the darker pigment protects the skin from UV rays and prevents skin cancer. Whiteness occurred when humans migrated north and not only was there less light but they suffered a vitamin deficiency when trying to reproduce their dark pigment in northern climates where the food was different, so it was beneficial to evolution that further north their skin lighten.

Because we all just look different, nobody is white, we are all shades of different colors. Nobody is totally black either, some browns, different shades of black, but no one is really black, black. God made us all diverse,
Thanks,
Matt

Because they are from Africa which is close to the Equator. So throughout their evolution their skin darkened because of the sun hitting it. It's black now so they can tolorate the harsh sun.

Black is not really a skin color. Most "black" people come in all hues.

Complexion and differing dialect/language is the mighty expression of AlMighty's creativity. Scientifically, it is the play of genes~again a creation-marvel. But the comment is that the mere complexion does not make one superior in any way in the judgement of God.
