Very sorry for your loss.I had a miscarriage/D&C three weeks ago today. I bleed heavily for three days and then very light bleeding for the next four days. I don't know if there is anything you can do to speed up recovery, but you should take it easy for a week or two. I took off work for a week after my misscarriage to physicaly recoop. Take if easy and get lots of rest. Your body needs it. Best of wishes in the future.

I had a miscarriage and I only bleed for two days. I just let my body take its course. I did what the doctor told me and I got my period a month or two later because my body was in shock from losing the baby. I hope this helped. Every ones body is different.

I bled barely at all the first two days and then very very heavy the next 3 days and then just like a period for another 4 days...so about 9 days, then my period came abour 5 1/2 weeks later. To speed up your recovery physically, stay low for 2 days or so and just rest, but after that, pack up your pads, go to the grocery, go to work, just go about your normal daily life...that really helps physically but it also really helps you start getting back to normal mentally as well!

actually you need to go to a doctor and get a DNC. you always should after a miscarriage. i had one where i didn't, and i bled for about 2 weeks, but my first period had so much blood that i thought i was hemorrhaging! and then i had 2 miscarriages where i got DNCs ( where the clean you up on the inside ) and i bled for 3 days light on both of them. lets just hope you have insurance to pay for the $5000 procedure. ( its surgery )
