You choose to accep or reject the gospel. You cast yourself into hell. He has provided a way so you don't have to go there.

God is not casting people into hell, anyway what proof do we have that there is even a god to do such act? What time we have on this plane of existence should be enjoyed not spent worrying about whether we are going to spend the rest of eternity in hell.

God is not casting anyone into eternal hell. God gave us a free will, it's up to us to choose to spend eternity with him or not with him.

It's not because God is good or bad that sinners are going to hell, but rather because God is perfect and just, that most will be going to hell.
If a person is drowning, and you throw that person a lifesaver, and that person doesn't grab it, -then did you MAKE that person drown? Are you responsible for that person drowning?? I don't think so.
Every person that perpetuates their current status of 'damned' does it themselves. Being saved from hell is free, but to most it's not convenient.

God is good. Out of his goodness and love for man, He gave us the one thing that he knew might be used to work against Him. He gave us FREE WILL.
FREE WILL is the innate human right to choose: good or bad, right or wrong. We can choose to do God's work or we can choose to rebel against. And those who do bad things condemn themselves to the fires of hell. So heaven or hell? The destination is our choice.

because you should be rewarded for the things you did in life as well as punished. but if you take a paranoid stance its just the celrgy classes way of controling the population to create a civil society free of the things that would normally impede the normal productive life of the communities citizens
