5y+2x=-4--------(1)
y=3x-7-----------(2)
Substitute the value of y from (2) into (1), we get
5(3x-7)+2x=4
15x-35+2x=4
17x-35=4
17x=39
x=39/17
now, y=3(39/17)-7=-2/17

5y + 2x = -4
y = 3x - 7

5(3x - 7) + 2x = -4
15x - 35 + 2x = -4
17x - 35 = -4
17x = 31
x = (31/17)

y = 3(31/17) - 7
y = (93/17) - 7
y = (93/17) - (119/7)
y = (93 - 119)/7
y = (-26/7)

x = (31/7)
y = (-26/7)
