Housing is expensive in LA. A lot of times people get multiple roommates, that is something you have to do for yourself. I know many actors in LA who have vaious types of "day jobs" while pusuing their careers. You have started out right with the perspective that you would be here to do what you love. Those coming here to be movie stars are in for a rude awakening. There are many opportunities if one is willing to do the footwork.

If you are not interest in base, vulgar, rabid pursuit of fame -

STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM LA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go to NY and make your bones in theater - immerse yourself in grassroots expressive media like Public Acces Television.

The only reason to come to LA is to sell you soul, to get fake body parts and a chance to whore yourself out completely in pursuit of your goal until your dignity is just a vague memory of another part of yourself you sold for a few pieces of silver

People come to LA to be America's Filthiest Slut-***** for the Enterainment Industry their hoping abject ***-licking toadying will be rewarded with the scraps of notariety and sensation and pray their 15 mintues doesn't run out.

Have a back-up plan, as a lot of people fail.
