Some of these questions are very difficult to understand. I was just wondering why people don't just take the 15 seconds to proof read the question before posting. I mean if there is a simple spelling mistake, thats cool. But there are some questions I've read that I'm not sure the person who is asking even speaks English.

I have to add that there is nothing wrong with not speaking English. I've read questions posted by people who don't speak English and they're more legible then the questions I am referring to. I think that the askers of the questions I am referring to do actually speak English but for some reason just don't care about making their question clear. I dunno. I don't think that anyone should have to work to undertand a question. I think the asker should have enough responsility to make themselves understood.

15-20 seconds out of your life to proof read is NOT a waste of time. So many people are in too much of a rush. I'm from NY, a city that is famous for fast fast fast, and I still take things a slow at times.

I wasn't referring to slang or abbreviations, I was referring to outright, obvious horrible use of the language. To the point that it is practically illegible. My last detail to Sachin (sp??) was understandable, even though I used a common internet abbreviation of you're as ur.
And perfect would be boring, wouldn't it?

First, a sincere congrats on a well presented question. Some answers are they don't take the time to consult a dictionary (book or on-line) to try to find out how to spell a word or compose a question. Maybe if more questions similar to yours were posted --- more people would try to do better. Another reason is the points system here, at times it does reward speed over taking more time to spell-check. We do have to understand that one can only do what he's capable of or is motivated to do --- and yes education, especially knowledge of English is a factor...also the argument of being of a foreign race is valid as they may not have as good of a grasp of the English language as a Native American. Lastly, for some there is entertainment value in creatively mangling the language. (i certainly am not exempt from any or all of these infractions).

You have a good point. I believe that you are correct in your assumption that some of the users do have a hard time with English. However, most of the time I've seen a lot of slang and acronyms. (Once I've figured out the acronym, most times I'm glad it's an acronym because if written in full could be considered offensive.)
This, I believe, is a global site, and as such shows the world our level of thinking as a nation. I think it supports the "Ugly American" standard other nations have of us. In other countries, generally only the rich and educated have computers. In China, they are sorely restrictive in what reaches the mainstream.
I agree with you. It doesn't take long to check and does give a better impression.

Just goes to show you, that the even ones that aren't illerate or don't have English as a second language, just happen to get into a great, unnecessary, hurry when it comes to posting things here.
I see that your add-on note to Sachin is a great example, and a self-answer to your question. You wrote:
"Sachin, I got ur message, but ur not able to get messages."
You did mean "you are" for the "ur" that you wrote, didn't you?
Geez! And I thought I was the only perfect person out here!!!

No offence meant...you reported, "can't form very sturdy". you should have reported, "can't form okay". i presumed proofread must be hyphenated, yet upon analyze, i got here across i became incorrect. sometime, i don't comprehend any more advantageous effective and don't comprehend to easily excellent.

That is probably because they in fact don't speak English. I would wager only half the R&S posters are from the United States. Think about it (the questions related to Islam and what not.) The askers are probably all from Turkey, France, Algeria, and the Middle East.

Hey, at least they'll get less points for receiving answers!
Your read-before-you-publish appeal makes sense, though it's a never ending problem, trust me. It's everywhere. But I'd also like to appeal to people who make this site: couldn't there be anybody who checks the questions before letting out? This could solve one side of this problem.
'Till soon, I hope. And don't stop believing in people.

Maar ook is mogelijk dat de spedling niet korridget estes.
Or slightly more seriously: English is a second lanuage for many questioners plus theres an awful lot of illiterate and lazy people around. I agree tho, it is frustrating to read questions that you just guess at what they want.
Don't let it get you down

I believe that a lot of the people are from other countries and wouldn't know what to do even if they used the spell check.
