Blame it on nature! Women by the time they have kids and a house to run, often lose their sex drives because they got what they wanted, a home, kids, and a husband! In the beginning, it was their sex drive they used in order TOO get the man! Now they are content with what they got, why have sex when they don't care to! That's probably why it is mostly older middle aged men who seek out hookers! Also nature makes the desire go down so a woman can put all her attention on what's really important, CHILDREN! That's what nature does. Anything female, is to attract a mate, bare his offspring, then (he) dies off, and (she) raises the offspring till they are old enough to leave, and the cycle goes on and on!

Typically this will happen after marriage. In our society (ie: sex and the city) women are encouraged to be sexually promiscuous while single but to disdain sex with their husbands.
Another theory I have is that to get and keep a man, women will tend to more sexually adventurous. But after the ring goes on the finger they don't have to try any longer. I mean, let's face it. While still dating if she stops making you happy, you just put her stuff in a box and say "Get the hell out." But after you're married, you're the one putting your stuff in a box. She gets your house and car...etc...

because they get fed up. Same old same old! Men still act like lil kids at the thought of a shag, women really don't!
If men knew how to satisfy women, it wouldn't happen

It could be medical.
If a man cannot satisfy a woman, the desire tends to stray.
