There are certainly pros and cons for this.
Certainly for people who have experienced a hideous accident and perhaps cosmetically it is the only option, or perhaps, someone born with an abnormality, however, what if the facelift does not work, as the old face would have been removed for the new face, if the new face does not work and this skin dies and falls off, the patient will be left with tissue, tendons, muscle completely covering the face with no protection.

There has already been a few full face transplants done, the first was done on a woman from France after she had been attacked by a dog , Her face was badly scarred so she was picked to have the first one.

You would still look pretty much the same as you do now, facial features are dtermined by bone structure, so unless you change your bone structure a new face will still resemble the old one!
OH, and yea the god squad would be sticking it's 2 cents worth in to stopping it!

Do we have to agree with everything that medical research comes up with.
Can you do a whole body transplant by exchanging seats on a bus?

i think it is a good option for those who have been badly disfigured. Why would the god squad object? Although it would be a shock to bump into someone who's face you recognise.

I think full face transplants should only be offered if you have had some horrific accident to your face.
