All the Bus Inspectors I have come into contact with have been polite, yet firm. The only times have seen them turn nasty, is when someone has behaved in a really abusive way towards them and/or the drivers. At the end of the day they are earning a living, just like the rest of us. So treat them the way you would like to be treated.

I think they do a great job now in London we have the bendy bus were no cash is taken and people have to have a valid ticket(ticket machines at bus stops)but the passengers get on 3 different doors so the driver can't be sure who has a ticket..

its a tough job, because people trying to dodge their fare often get rude and aggressive and give stupid excuses.
