I was a call center employee for a year and a half. I did market research, calling people with surveys all day long. some of the folks I worked with had been there for 10 years, and were making decent money. The job was a means to activities in their private lives, and they were happy. Others were promoted to middle-management and got significant pay raises.

Your future is what you make it.

While in that call center, I decided to take some college classes, and after a lot of hard work, I got my teaching degree, and left the job to pursue my career as a teacher. Now I've been teaching for 5 years. The call senter job masde me realize that I wanted to do more with my life.

If you are just one of the Responders at present, then you might be promoted to a Shift Supervisor, and later may even rise to become a Manager [Job Training].
But though your salary will increase, so will the work pressures. Until a time comes, when you get 'burnt-out' - and are unceremoniously shown the door !
I've seen this happen once too often, to several of my classmates, who are now a disillusioned bunch of misfits trying to survive in other workplaces !
...The practical move for you, is to forget about what now seems a 'fancy pay', and appears to be a 'western hep environment' - and find yourself a normal job right now, where you may earn less, but at least have genuine peace of mind !
Best of Luck friend : You'll sure need it.

Of course!! As long as you have ambition. Use yuor time as a call centre employee to improve your sales skills, your persuasion and negotiation skills etc., and then make sure you include what you have learned on your CV.
