Labor pain is like the worst menstrual cramps you can imagine. ONce you start pushing for some reason the pain subsides, and is replaced by an awful.....discomfort....of the baby's skull squeezing through your pelvic bones. Feels like bone on bone, but passes once the head is out. If you plan on an epidural, be sure to tell the hospital on arrival.....sometimes the anesthesiologist is 45 minutes away and takes his time arriving to the hospital.

It is an amazing experince, I had a very easy delivery, the pain comes very strong but goes away, the pain can be described as a very bad period pain, bottom back, tammy pain. The amazing thing is God gives enough pain to handle it. The pain comes strong and then goes, nearer to the time the pain gets stronger and in every 3 minutes.
I only pushed 3 times, on the third push i gave birth to my beautiful daughter.
The trick for easy labor is deep breaths between the pain.

It's like menstrual cramps that build in waves getting more painful each time. Just when you think you can't bear it it subsides......only to return again and again until you dialate and feel the need to push. Pushing is such a relief that you really don't notice the pains much after that.
Yes, you can bear it!

The pain of contractions was excrutiating for me. It hurt so badly, I was crying and (inadvertently) holding my breath to wait them out.
Imagine the WORST menstrual cramps you can, and multiply the pain of them by 100. That, combined with your entire abdomen getting rock hard and squeezing down, and low, low cramps (like you'd get with diarrhea from food poisoning or stomach flu). I couldn't do anything during my contractions...walk, talk, move at all. They were horrible. That's OK...that's what epidurals are for. :D

Ok, labor pain. it feels like bad cramps at first. then as labor progresses it feels like you are gonna split in two. remember, your body is stretching to let baby out. the pain goes away after baby is born and having epidurals is ok. if you are gonning to deliver, good luck and congratulations.
