It might be like that missing limb syndrom, where people who loose a arm or leg often feel it for some time after it's gone. I was pretty glad when I gave birth and the kicking and moving stopped, it was just too painful at the end!

My "baby" is now a one-and-a-half-year-old toddler and I still, on occasion, feel like he's still rollin' in my tummy. I think its because when we are pregnant we attribute any little feeling to the baby and forget that it may just be our own body doing stuff. And of course when we miss being pregnant this will happen more. You and your baby were two souls in one body and anyone would miss that closeness. Good Luck to You!

Gases sometimes erupt in our bodies making us aware that they are present when a large bubble erupts sometimes feeling as if you are being kicked by a fetus and even more so like they are rolling around.

i get the same feeling and it has been over 3 1/2 years since i had my son. so i don't think it is unusual. i've been told by a few friends that it is our stomach muscles having spasm's but i'm not too sure ask your midwife next time you take bub for their checkup

I would have a medical check-up. There have been cases of a baby being left inside the mother.
