A girl I know has been trying to get pregnant since months, without any success. A few years ago she had a very tough abortion (done by some sort of quack doctor who was pushing and squeezing her abdomen) and she was in severe labor for over 10 hours. Three months after, she still experienced constant daily bleeding. I'm afraid that this has affected her ability to conceive now. She denies it, and claims that her doctor said that everything was all right with her. I doubt that she has even gotten a check-up regarding her fertility problem. What do you think?

If your description is anywhere near accurate, that's not a tough abortion; it's a *botched* abortion. After a tough abortion, a woman would probably not have any problems conceiving again (although it *could* happen). After a botched one, she's probably lucky to be alive. Yes, it could be the cause.

You better advise this girl to see a doctor right away and have her condition assessed. If she refuses to do to a doctor, then there is nothing you can do. It is out of your hands.
