Formats like 'wma' and 'ogg' are a bit more efficient than mp3, but not THAT much. Nowhere near. Besides, If you convert an mp3 to wma you'll loose quality in the transition. (Because mp3 and wma are both lossy formats.)
It could make sense to rip your next few CDs to wma, but don't bother converting your existing mp3 tunes.

Not really...This is not a matter of the format, it is more of the Bitrate you use. the norm is 128k, WMA is somewhat popular because it is the built in music ripper. Since most mp3 rippers cost you 20 to 80 oinline, people went with the freebee already installed. I would keep my mp3's and just get a bigger storage card...

Yeah, it will.... WMA can compress more than MP3...... About half the size of MP3, but the quality also declines significantly... If you want quality, go for MP3, and if u want quantity , go for WMA.
