Your friend is dangerously underweight.
This could be because of some chronic illness or cancer but most likely ANOREXIA NERVOSA.
Anorexia Nervosa is when you are extremely underweight
I would be worried if my body mass index (BMI) is below 18.5.
For her height, her Body Mass Index should be between 61kg and 76 kg. She needs to find 11 kg from somewhere quickly.
You can check that here. Click on the 'body mass index' link.

Anorexia Nervosa is caused by a fear to eat or fear of gaining weight so it is more a mental than a physical thing. It is very difficult to treat but the earlier you start the better. She needs medical help and this may include psychologists, psychiatrists and dietitians/nutritionists.

there are some vitamin with minerals and amino acids preparations that will help you improve your appetite and will add to whatever needed nutrients your body needs. if you can eat fish three times a week, eggs four times a week, vegetables three times a day and fruits in between meals, your appetite will improve and you will find looking for foods that your body still needs.

A girlfriend of mine is going through that right now. Her doctor has her drinking "Ensure" to help bring up her weight. She is also on antidepressants. I hope that this helps. Good luck to you.
