Just b4 lunch i go to the toilets and roll up a joint for lunch...just b4 end of day i roll up another for my journey after work...and from that point i probably smoke a few more bfore the night ends..
I have been smoking weed and skunk for 6 years...and as social as it used to be...now i cant stop it... i dont smoke cigarettes at all,....just use the tobacco in my rollies...

I feel i take this **** because it helps me forget my problems.... i used to just enjoy getting high b4...but now im on it all the time...
but whenever im not stoned, im thinkin of my problems, so again i end up rolling a joint....
i do want to stop, but i cant do it....i tried many times....but i end up going back to it...its not like cigs...i hate smoking cigs..so the tabacco isnt the thing which is stopping me from quitting...
probably my mind....i guess its an escape route...a way of running from what is in the mind...letting the mind mellow down and stop its thinking process..
i dont even know why im writing all this...i think i need answers....or help!!

Sounds to me like it's the tobacco.
See if you can do without the "spices" in the rollies and just have the rollies. If that's doable, you'll just be a normal smoker who can't give up. Join the club, there's millions of us.

First off, get rid of the crack, that's bad news. As far as the pot goes, I have a similar problem... I've been smoking it for ten years and if it's in the house, I have to have it from the minute I get up. And like the other guy said, I've managed to raise a happy healthy kid, run a household singlehandedly, and qualify as a counsellor while using it. Life's been hard over the last few years and the pot takes the edge off sometimes. The only way I cannot smoke is by not buying any. It sounds like you're 'self-medicating'... maybe you ought to see your doctor and get some 'legal' medication then speak to someone about the issues you have that make you feel you have to smoke... I feel for you though because I know from my own experience it's not easy... and like any addiction, you come off it for six months then you think 'oh, it's okay, I can handle it now, I'll just get some in to have now and again to chill out'... but before you know it you're skinning up first thing in the morning again... I guess the only answer is that it's only a problem for you if you think it is.. so maybe now is the time to seek outside help.

I used to do similar. And I ended up on harder stuff as well. Now I have the odd drink but that's my only mind-altering drug these days. You're going to make your own decisions, but for what it's worth - two things:
The idea that pot is a 'gateway' drug is a generalisation. For most it's not. For me, and from your brief story you, it is. I think that has to do with whether the smoking is a way to plug a hole somewhere - eventually being stoned becomes the norm, and then surprise surprise the hole is still there and you need a bigger plug. So be careful of that - try not to die or end up a thief in the gutter, one or other of which is your most likely outcome down that path.
The second thing is a point raised by Trey Parker in a South Park episode I saw that really rang home. The problem with pot is that although it is probably harmless in itself, it can make you ok with being bored, and that could mean you don't achieve what you otherwise might. Stopping has certainly proved this in my life, and I recommend it to you, but it's your call. I do know people who I think are probably better off in their lives for smoking weed.
Anyway, good luck. Be happy.

There is no doubt you have done some damage. However you still here and your able to go to work so what about finding out on the net, the vitamins / foods that will repair damage due to drugs.
Check out this page.....http://www.nida.nih.gov/Infofacts/cocaine.html
Physical effects of cocaine use include constricted blood vessels, dilated pupils, and increased temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure. The duration of cocaine's immediate euphoric effects, which include hyperstimulation, reduced fatigue, and mental alertness, depends on the route of administration. The faster the absorption, the more intense the high. On the other hand, the faster the absorption, the shorter the duration of action. The high from snorting may last 15 to 30 minutes, while that from smoking may last 5 to 10 minutes. Increased use can reduce the period of time a user feels high and increases the risk of addiction.
Fair play to you, you know you should do something about this or you wouldnt be asking for advice so be determined and go for it.

I used to suffer from cute and chronic cross-addiction, a killer cocktail: Hash+rephnol+alcohol. I would start my day with a rephnol and two joints. In the lunch break, a bottle of wine and more joints. Back from school, a rephnol and off to the bar for beer and more wine, and no cigarattes, just joints. I was a brilliant student with a great UN career ahead. It was a very sad story I am not fond of relating. It hurts a lot. You gotta stop, brother. Addiction is a loser's path. Social drinking, smoking and sniffing is a lie. Stop and take up religion, art or masturbation

Addiction is not an illness but a symptom that something else is going wrong. Unless you treat that something else (Usually caused by neurosis/sometimes psyhcosis) you will never recover from your addiction.
I feel concerned about your need to have a joint when you wake up. It sounds very much like escapism to me. What are you trying to escape? Your daily life? Problems? Unfulfilment? Or yourself! You know there are millions of people smoke joints because they think it's OK. I can guarantee you that they are wrong after i found myself looking after different patients who underwent cannabis psychosis. Trust me! You don't want to try that! As for skunk and crack ... Need i tell you what dangers they represent?
Seek out your nearest addiction centre and go in! Tell them what is going on. They can offer you lots of support and better still a counsellor who might help you figure out what is causing your need for addiction.
You may or may not take my advice depending how your next fix looks as opposed to my advice but i have to state here that you need to do all teh hard work! With help and support you may get over the addiction, certainly enough for you to go deep within and find out what is causing this need for it (Causal factor) so that you can work on it and feel a lot better.
Best wishes

Cannabis may or may not be addictive or harmful, but tobacco certainly is and I think its most likely to be the tobacco that has got you hooked. Most smokers start off with just the occasional cigarette but progress to regular smoking.
The fact that you are progressing to harder drugs is worrying, they will almost certainly be more harmful to your health than cannabis.
The hard fact is that you should make every habit to stop smoking if you value your health.

You seem to have a problem and I think that you do realize it or we wouldn`t have seen you asking this. Why not try to stop slowly, leave the white s... out and try only to smoke a few a day,or maybe just try to get some help. There is help in your community. They will not judge you,I don`t. Ask and you will recieve.

I smoke pot about 4 or 5 times a day for 20 years and I managed to hold down a job and raise a family. DO NOT use crack, it's highly addictive and you'll loose everything you have. Stick to pot, it's harmless.
