My refrigerator is turned down all the way to the coldest setting. I can't get it to be less than 58 degrees inside. Any suggestions?

If your refrig is a frost free type, you may want to check the freezer to ensure it isn't over loaded with food stuff, reason being air must flow freely threw out the entire refrigerator in order for the thomostat to work correctly. You should also check the coils on the rear of the refrig and make sure they are clean and dust free. If you still have problems after trying the above; you may need to call a repair service to come out and check the unit. good luck in correcting your problems

Have you tried cleaning the heat exchange coils which are underneath or behind the refrigerator depending upon the design of your unit? If these are covered with dust bunnies the dust serves as an insulator and prohibits them from shedding heat from the coolant that passes through them.

Additionally, you need to be sure there is adequate air flow around the refrigerator and that the air vents inside are not blocked.

Yep, it sounds like it either needs to be recharged, OR and do THIS ONE FIRST, pull the cover off the lower front and vacuum any and all dust dirt off the tubing. If there is alot of stuff like thick dust covering it this will affect the temp. Do the same on the backside. IF the problem is still there then it may need re-charging. Good Luck.

Pull it away from the wall if you can and try to vaccuum or dust off the vents and fans in the back (you might want to turn it off while you do that). We had a problem with our old fridge and it turned out that the vents were just really dusty and weren't pulling in enough air. Hope that helps!!

on whirlpool models there is a design defect Im told, inside frezzer, make sure fan motor is running, unscrew back lower cover below fan motor, lift off cover and you will find that there are cut outs with styrafoam , sometimes only one, pull this out and reassemble, Ihave done this several times and it works Good Luck
