As soon as we get our defence to stop training with Billy Smart's circus, we'll look much better.
The goals we conceded were bad by league standards, let alone international ones, and let's face it, if we had won 2-0 instead of drawing, the mood would be much better. The good news is we do have match winners - Joe Cole is on fire, Gerrard can always be called upon to deliver and Beckham always has the potential to deliver the killer pass. Personally I'd like to see Lennon involved as well (perhaps at the expense of Lampard!?) But we have to get it right at the back to progress beyond the quarters. And Sven needs to get the best use out of his players - something he has failed to achieve so far

Joe Cole's goal is the best of all the goals scored in the WC so far; Stevie G's save-from-line and precisedly-placed header against one of the tallest WC goalkeeps; Rooney's ingenuity and anger... all are important signs that the lads have it to win. They've done enough to get through first hurdle. They know and they will work on set-pieces from now until Sunday. I truly believe each and everyone in this ENGLAND team knows what to do to win the finals. I'm not gaping in awe at the Argies, Jerrys or anyone else. I will take one game at a time and based on the known quality and awesome potential of Beckham & Co, i am confident England will beat Ecuador. Don't care if it's a boring 1 - 0. Because this team is never boring.

No they are just full of excuses it is not like it was a surprise. They get extortionate wages for very little work yet when they need to perform they don`t. David Beckham said they played a little better that against Paraguay and said they will have to improve. If their wages were paid on performance they might try a little harder. It is just a sad case that most football fans treat some of them like Gods. Look at Rooney all the media coverage yet where was his miraculous performance last night. Sorry this is not very reassuring but it is a fact

No sorry. It was our best performance so far and I've no doubt we can and will play better, however, good enough to beat the likes of Argentina and Brazil? I can't see it somehow.

Switch off the TV and be grateful it's only sport and the Vikings aren't coming to invade your village, drink your wine and carry off your womenfolk. Just don't bet your farm on the footie!

Don't know...but that was a nice game to watch yesterday.
Brazil hasn't scored much, but watch out. Germany...well their Polish players have been scoring...a lot of goals there.
