Best known for yer role as "Coco" in the blockbuster 1980 movie "Fame", has been in showbiz almost all of life. Her career tanked after clashing with her management and was involved in legal battles with them after winning a Grammy, Oscar & Golden Globe with "What a Feeling" from the movie "Flashdance", which she wrote and performed.
Lakeview Worship Center's website put it best in saying she is now in her "16th Minute" of fame. She is still in the entertainment industry and has over the years continued to be in films and do voice over work, television and fronts an all-girl band R&B band called "Hot Carmel".
She is still single and lives in Florida.
