Just wondering how many older women are here trying to conceive. I have just turned 38 and am trying for my first one. Does anyone have any encouraging words to say as all I ever see or hear is "infertile after 35" "less chances after 35" .. those things alone cause me stress and I am sure it is not helping.

Your possibilities of changing into pregnant each and each month are truly truly low, i think of someplace between 20-30%. On effortless it takes a pair 6 months to conceive and that they say they do no longer even evaluate a capacity subject till after a year. for sure in case you ask to be regarded at they'll do it, yet at in user-friendly terms 2 months you haven't any longer something to rigidity approximately. basically attempt to apply a internet site like WebMD to chart your fertility or purchase an ovulation prediction kit that may assist you out, yet heavily you're thoroughly wide-spread as a consequence some distance.

I am thirtyeight years old also. I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy this past january 6th. It took me six months to get pregnant. My grandmom lived with us and was very sick and dying. At the time I was very stressed. Everyone told me stress will not help me get pregnant. A month after she passed away I found out I was pregnant. So what I am trying to say is just relax and dont think about it so much and it will happen for you. Women are having babies well into there fourties today. Good luck to you.

I'm sitting across the room from our "surprise bonus child," born whem his mom was 38 (and nine months almost to the DAY after my 40th birthday; no bonus points for guessing how we celebrated it. :-). He's a great kid, almost ten years old now and an absolute delight. So it is not only possible, it can also be very rewarding.

Best of luck!

All I know is few of my cousions tried for the babies and got babies immediately (in btw 1 to 9 months of trying ) in thier early 30s and one was 35 (who got preg immediately)
I know one more cousion who was trying for 10 yrs but got preg when she was 33 so as far as i know in 30s u get better chances ;)
I know few more relatives who got thier babies (not the 1st one)in thier late 30s
So don't worry, be relaxed & calmed.
Good luck
