Hey, the same thing happened with me!! But the guy was very handsome and s**y, and I wasn't his kind. So I could never even be his friend.
This is life. I made a mistake and never even tried to talk to him. Don't make the same mistake.
Talk to him. Make him your friend. Tell him first that you don't want him to feel the same way as you do. Try to make him a very good friend, so that he shares his feelings with you. If he does like you, he'll tell you himself. But don't get sad if he talks to you about some other girl he likes. Be sympathetic, and a good listener and friend. He'll value you a lot. If he likes someone else, you can at least be his good friend! This will happen very slowly as it's not a day's work. Be patient. Gradually, he may even want you as his girlfriend!
And if things don't turn out at all as you wanted them to, leave him and ................... find another guy ;)

if your age above 18 then talk to him. else keep your concerntration to do other thing. Mostly opposite sex attraction natural and only for sex. LOVE means SEX need. True love is only after u hv sex for long time and then still u love each other. OK

well, if you want you could first observe his actions towards you (if it changed a bit or whatsoever) or you could confront him or his friend & ask him about his feelings. but if you're shy, you could just hang in there & wonder for life what he really feels...
