In my opinion, no. So what if he was married? That just makes it a little easier to understand him - remember, Jesus was both HUMAN and divine. (Even the Bible depicts him as having normal emotions of a human being, such as anger when he purposely knocked over the market tables in front of the Temple.) Jesus' message is what we should focus on, not his personal life.

Am surprised this question is in this category, but thinking now it is a most proper place for it.
No on knows that Jesus never married. When MAN wrote the translated /scripts for the bible, they blamed woman for most of the 'evils' of mankind. Eve ate the apple and tempted that smuck, Adam, Salome got John beheaded, Delilah cut Samson's hair..on and on..they even made Jesus' mother a virgin for pete's sake. Must have surprised hell out of Joseph. Women were transposed into these writings to not only keep them in their place, but to be an earthly scapegoat for about every evil known to man. How then could Jesus be married.? For christ sake , that would have elevated women. Most other churches have a problem with Catholics venerating his mother. Seriously doubt they could handle his having a go at his Missus.

Yes it matters. Since 300 CE the Roman Catholic (Universal) Church has sought to remove every and any hint of the normal humanity of Jesus, other than what is necessary to maintain some resemblence of a story.
The reason is that they want and have wanted since then to ensure Jesus is considered the only son of God. So important is this quest for them, that they do not really care about his message, what he actually said. Instead, it is the cult of the God that is far more important.
That is why the Da Vinci Code is so dangerous, because it calls to question the humanity of the character of Jesus. Expect to see the battle continue.

Good question, I never worried about it, and still don't, we don't know if he was married, a lot of so called "Christians" (read as Bigots), will object to the thought, a most un-christian thing to do. What Jesus did was so long ago and shrouded in mystery that we have no real proof of anything. Christians who feel a need to protect my mortal soul, DON'T BANG ON ABOUT THE BIBLE, THAT IS AN AGREED PUBLICATION, IT WAS PUT TOGETHER OVER 300 YEARS AFTER CHRIST DIED, IT IS A MAN MADE THING, A SELECTION OF THE STORIES AVAILABLE, A RESULT OF ROMAN PROPAGANDA and mans inability to agree the truth of an event. St Jerome, a personal hero of mine, translated the agreed codex and may have made several errors.

particularly frankly, i imagine it really is yet another attempt through those adverse to him to discredit him and that that is a fabrication. His enemies have tried for 2 thousand years to discover his body to illustrate he became not in any respect resurrected and function spectacularly did not attain this, yet devil not in any respect supplies up for this reason the 'discovery' of this scrap of paper.. human beings probable ask if Jesus became married because Peter became, even if the reference became to his mom-in-regulation and not in any respect his spouse. Peter became an consumer-friendly human being, yet Jesus became no longer. The miracles he did printed there became an component in divinity in him which became lacking in his disciples. That vast difference is going to the middle of Christian idea. Christians have self belief in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, jointly called the Holy Trinity. they're typically likened to the three facets of a triangle which make it a good and sturdy geometric figure. So Jesus became one area of the three-in-one Godhead. In Revelation 22.16 Jesus says “i'm the muse and branch of David.” In Matthew 22.40-one-40 six, also in Mark and Luke, Jesus requested the Pharisees this conundrum: How might want to the Messiah (the muse) have preceded David if He became David's son (the offspring)? right here Jesus says that both statements are best, exhibiting that He became with God because the daybreak of time. In Heaven, it really is the position the Holy Trinity stay, Jesus turned right into a spirit with a non secular body. yet religious bodies does no longer be regarded through people, although in the experience that they could nicely be considered, so Jesus got here to earth and took a human body so lets see Him. when you consider that people are mortal, we choose sex to reproduce so as that the species will proceed. Spirits are immortal and sexless, when you consider that God can create them at will with out the different help, thanks. So Jesus became nevertheless an immortal Heavenly spirit even although in a human body. even as He became crucified, His earthly body died, even if the spirit is immortal and so He rose from the grave. Then He might want to look and disappear through metamorphosing between His heavenly and his earthly bodies as witnessed in Luke 24. 36 - fifty one. No-one else has ever done that or been waiting to do it, and that is totally using His divinity. The advice that He might want to favor to have a actual union with a lady is as ridiculous because that is incorrect.

Not at all. Why would that be a problem?
He only married once and that was to Maria Magdalen.
I think it´s controversial since it´s a new thought and some people have had time understanding that Jesus actually had sex and had kids...

Certainly it matters...have you not read in the Holy Bible what has been said in regards to the relationship between a man & a woman?..Matthew 5:32 But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery.
Jesus Christ already has a bride..it is the church...to be with ANY other woman would constitute "adultery.

It matters. Jesus loved and married every church and only the church. Hindu God (is the same as other God because there is only one God ) marries His devotees.*.Islam calles God Allah. and His prophet is called Mohammad(pboh)and He married Khadija.
*Lord Christna (pronounced as Krishtna but spelled as Krishna) made "love" to 16000 devout "Gopicas".Such marriages are explained with "spiritual meaning " in Hindu scriptures.

To be completely honest - I really do believe Jesus was just an ordinary guy, like you and me, and that he had children with Maria M. And I do believe that after his "death", Maria, being pregnant, came to France in order to safe herself and their baby from Romans.
So what if he was married!? Majority of nowadays problems come from Vatican and church as an institution.
Don't forget that history tells us that before church and religion, women were the ones who ruled, they had the same role as men now. So....

I think it would be natural for Jesus to be married. Marriage is institution designed by God, and if He was a Son of God, He had to stick with this institution.
