Unfortunately, no one. He's too good and too fast.

It's not looking good for anybody else. Loeb just makes so few mistakes, and going to a "privateer" hasn't knocked his car down any pegs.

Gronholm is capable of winning, and he seems to like the Focus a lot better than the Peugeot. At least he doesn't seem so grouchy coming off the stages. (You have to love Gronholm, it's so refreshing to hear him tell it like it is instead of always giving the standard line about how the car ran great and his crew did a terrific job.)

And poor Petter... I don't know what happened to him. I think somebody secretly crept into his bedroom in the middle of the night and gave him a transfusion of Andretti blood. Hitting the rock in Japan and the kangaroo in Australia was just cosmically bad luck. Some of it may be due to the Pirelli tires, but tire choice isn't going to make a kangaroo jump out in front of you.

(No, actually, that's my wife's fault. On Saturday of Rally Australia last year, I checked WRC.com and was thrilled to see that Petter was in the lead at the end of the second day. "Oh, good!" my wife said. "Let's just hope he doesn't hit a kangaroo or something." The next day I was gobsmacked. I wish she could do that with stock prices or horse races or something!)

Gronholm probably. But Seb is just a strong driver. He rarely makes a mistake and blindingly fast.

It is very difficult to beat him, considering his form at the present. The only person who can beat is himself, when he makes a huge mistake. It is highly unlikely that he will be trailing the near future.
