I once had 2 red-eared sliders before, and observed that there are no visible ears around their head.. SO do they have ears? Where?

Yes. There will be a smooth, round scale where you would think to look for an ear...that is their ear.

I have a pink-eared slider and a midland painted jointly yet they grew up jointly from the time they were an inch lengthy.

of course they have ears. they are just very tiny holes.

Sure they do. It may just be that they have no external lobes.
