Trans fluid...
Critical... you poked a hole in the trans oil pan. Without the fluid, the trans wont work. (once all the fluid runs out)
Cost depends on type of car, year, are you going to fix it?... etc.

OK, sounds like everybody knows what happened bun noone is offering resolve. Let's start simply. Get some ATFIII and put it in your transmission. Look under the car and see where it's leaking from. Hopefully just the pan. You can buy a new pan for 25 bucks or so. If you see a big crack in the casting or a chunk of casting broke out of the housing then it's bad. Look closely at your cooling lines between the tranny and the radiator. Hopefully it's something you can fix with little expense. The lines can be spliced. The part stores sell rubber tranny hose and clamps. You can cut the bad part out if you have to. Best of luck, sorry for your troubles.

Hate to tell you this, reddish/brown fluid is one of two things. Power steering, or transmission. Obviously the power steering would be less expensive to repair.
Also, which ever it is, it should be red, not reddish/brown, after you get your car fixed you should be careful not to let the fluids get old and turn brown. This is exceptionally true if its a transmission!!!!
Oh, and there is a chance you only cracked the pan if it is indeed your transmission. If that is the case you wouldn't have to replace the whole thing, unless driving it home without fluid damaged it, which is very possible.
Have the car TOWED to a shop, driving it will cause more damage, and result in a higher repair bill in the end.

The fluid is most likely transmission fluid or engine oil. Because you said reddish, it seems more likely that it is transmission fluid.
It sounds like the debris you hit more than likely damaged an oil or trans fluid line.
Regardless of what it is, I recommend having your car towed to a local reputable mechanic. Running your car while low on either of these fluids would cause far more damage than the initial impact.

Do not drive the car as you may have split the oil pan under the car. If the oil leaks out it will seize the engine. If you can get road assist to come to you, or a mechanic to have a look underneath it would be better not to drive the car until the leak is found.

ok well if it was reddish it could be your transmission fluid and yes that's critical i would not drive or start your car until you know for sure what type of oil it is because if its a combo of engine oil and trans fluid you could really ruin your engine

ok...
...sounds like you've ruptured your sump and are leaking oil all over...
...tho the reddish colour suggests transmission fluid...
...yes it's going to be expensive to get fixed, but it's gonna be a WHOLE HEAP more expensive if you don't get it fixed.
DO NOT RUN YOUR ENGINE OR YOU WILL KILL IT!!!!
get a mechanic to come see what you've broken & get a FIRM quote before you let him do any work to it...
...if he says "bring it in" after you've described the problem, don't trust him, cos he's crap...
...any good mechanic will tell you not to move it & will come and see the damage for themselves.
hope this helps.

ok properly I easily have a clearly oily face...and that i exploit the neutrogena wave yet when u dont pick to purchase a product...then i'd make a hand-crafted facial mask with those issues: equivalent factors of basic yogurt, sliced papaya, and milk. depart it on ur face for 10-quarter-hour. u might want to do it like once each 2 wks....u can likely do more effective if u pick. i'm hoping i helped! :]
