motor boats can have leaks. If your motor is not kept up properly, or its hoses kept up properly then oil, gas, or some other type of fluid can leak into the water.

but with everything in tip top shape and the motor a newer style then everything should be fine to run it. Sailboats are ok too, can be fun but i prefer the zoom zoom of a bass boat myself.
