Flowers and Chocolates may be his way of saying he is sorry for what ever he did because he may not have ever know how to do it right or when he tried before he messed up. My husban d refused to say he was sorry "For Anything" Then came the "Big Blow Up" and I said you aren't even man enough to say you're sorry and that's when he told me that when he tried with his xwife she always made fun of him. I reminded him I am not her and never will be and My emotions and Pain Can't be bought with flowers and candy. So it took alot of time but now he can say he is sorry, but sometimes it's too hard right then and he gives me something with a note that he drew a heart on and it has his name on it and it say is this OK till later. I never push the issue and in a hour or two he can say it and we enjoy the chocolates together and put the flowers in our bedroom to remind us that one fight won't destroy us. sometimes its 50/50 others its70/30, 90/10 Love is not all 50/50 and neither is life. We all have to understand that

Chocolates and Flowers symbolise Romance.
Women generally like romance..so..i guess a good way to say u'r sorry is to do something romantic.. a gesture that shows u went out of ur way to do something she likes. Being Sorry can move one to do that.

This doesnt necessarily mean he's sorry though(LOL)

No. he/she had better show more regret than just tears and flowers. Flowers are a sweet jester, but has been my experience that the 'sorry' gets thrown away with the dead flowers...

for me the word "sorry" means absolutely nothing. if you are really sorry you have to prove that you are sorry, and no, flowers and chocolate don't mean anything.

words are frivolous, actions say it all

I don't think so, chocolate is an aphradesiac..., and flowers are just pretty (most of the time).

In some cases they might. It all depends on what you are sorry for and the lady's frame of mind.It wouldn't convince me.
