In terms of server side programming languages, I suggest that you learn JSP, ASP, ASP .NET, PHP, and ColdFusion. I am a certified ColdFusion MX developer; of course, I am rooted for ColdFusion. Since you want to be a designer, I would suggest you to learn Photoshop and Flash too.

As far as annual income goes, can your annual income be like 100,000? Yes, it can BUT for a person to make that kind of income, one must show high quality work to show you he/she is worth the money. Put yourself in the employers' shoes for a moment, if you have to pay someone an annual income of $100,000, what qualities would you be looking for? If you can truly answer this question, you will know what you need to do to that kind of income.

i am a professional web developer (as opposed to designer). if i had to start again right now i would do the following.

go to http://www.w3schools.com and complete all the courses - they are free.

once i have some background knowledge i would learn a language like c# or vb.net (and sql) which provide the server-side functionality to a technology like asp.net.

i would also enroll in the mcpd (web developer) course from Microsoft.

http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcpd/webdev/default.mspx

then get some experience in a junior position and work your way up to $100000. this kind of salary does not come over night.

this way you are pretty much guaranteed success in the industry if you know your stuff.

You are trying to run before you can walk my friend. Yes learn CISCO and go to your collage or any Education Centre and find out where you can learn what and when? If you are keen like me you could earn up to £**,000 a year + car in UK

sorry...you need to learn how to spell and proofread before you can do any of those. examples: exACt, webSIte, webSIte, codes should be plural, work should be plural, insert the word "need" in the phrase "what do I to do",the last website should be plural, you don't need two cans in the the last question, and name in the last sentence should be plural.
