made a movie in Brasil just a few years ago and noticed that. Almost everybody else in Brasil uses (long) full names, but the sports starts (and not the film/tv celebrities/actors) only go with one - and i don't think it's their surnames.
Brasilians are the such an amazing people, and there must be something to it - perhaps the power of breaking free from their surname and what historical bondage it may have and they go with the Spirit of their first name and what it means - we lead with our first name. love to see answers from Brasilians. What a beautiful country.....
