though there is no iota of doubt regarding Saddam suppressed and massacred shies, his trial has not been conducted in accordance with principles of natural justice as defense witnesses were beaten up lawyers died under mysterious circumstances. another thing is whether he be given death punishment or life imprisonment that is to be decided by the Iraqis only. the us has no role to play in awarding punishment to other heads of countries. if that is the case what sort of punishment is to be given to bush for the death of countless innocent Iraqis by invading that country with a false charge that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. in this regard we are to learn from the Nepalis who dethroned their autocratic king without interference of external forces

Kimon,
You are "dead" wrong and I'll tell you why.
The punishment should fit the crime. If I am killed by a drunk driver versus being killed by a bank robber, the justice system identifies the difference. No one is going to get the death penalty for involuntarily killing someone else. But you can bet your Texas ranch that some states here will get you good for voluntary acts of murder.
Now you seem to be saying it's ironic to kill someone for killing, and then hiding behind "justice" as the reason. Perhaps on some remote level, it would seem ironic and immoral. Luckily for you, however, that's not the case.
If I walk up to you and put a bullet in your head, then the state of Texas ends my life with lethal injection, the two are not morally equivalent. One is punishment for committing the most heinous crime known to man. The other is the decision to commit such an act. Only one is warped in nature.

"The man didn't do anything wrong" -?!?
Wow. That is so beyond ignorant, they haven't yet discovered the words capable of describing it.
You know, Hitler didn't do anything wrong either. Neither did Stalin, Mao, or Castro. The only people who have done wrong are people like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. How dare they fight for freedom from slavery and tyrrany? Isn't it more important to be peaceful than to live in a just and fair society? Don't you know how many thousands of civilians died in the revolutionary and civil wars? Why, Washington, Lincoln, Wilson, Roosevelt, every single wartime president and commander in chief, other than Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, was an outright satan worshipper!

i do no longer help capital punishment even in circumstances like Saddam's the place the perpetrator merits it. The intense officers persons and Israeli regimes are as no much less criminals than Saddam.

Killing a human being is barbaric, inhuman and immoral. And if it done under the pretext of justice is a parody and a humiliation of human justice.
It is just plain wrong
But I guess some people have no decency, morals, education or culture to realize that.

Yes.
But before that I prefer to listen his advocacy about a lot of other subjects including, Iran-Iraq war, His supporters during the war, Chemical weapons that used during the war against Iranian and Iraqis, Slaughter innocent people during his regime, etc.
This court is wasting time just for one of his slaughters and I'm worrying about other crimes. It seems they don't want to plead them in the court.
