I have a New Home sewing machine. Sometimes it starts clanging like a train screeching to a stop. Why?

I had it recently serviced and it worked like a charm for a couple of months.

Check the shuttle, that is the part that the bobbin attaches to. Sometimes this happens if there is dust or thread caught. Usually the part that the bobbin locks into will come out and it can be cleaned. I clean mine after each use, with an old toothbrush. Good Luck

It probably needs cleaned and oiled.

Can you check if its oiled properly or does it required oiling or any other maintainance.
