To me,making slurping sounds are having fun while drinking.Can you imagine when u are alone at a table drinking a drink?With no noise ...nothing!Totally boring!!

I think it is the sound of a sigh at the end of a good work out session (or lovemaking session) A kind of, "All righty then!!"

It actually makes the food taste better...You get air in your mouth with the food or wine and it changes the taste...and it cools it too
