I am a Freemason of a different Order, American Co-Masonry. We may or may not be what you wish to talk about. Some (grin) do not recognize us as *real* Masons in that we admit women as well as men. Rather than draw our Charter and recognition from the United Grand Lodges of England, our heritage comes from La Grande Lodges Symbolique in France.

Feel free to contact me if you wish. If I cannot answer your question, I can put you in contact with someone who probably can.
I belong to Hiram Lodge No. 11 in Santa Cruz, CA and Amon Ra Lodge No. 9 in Los Angeles, CA

You could start off with the following sites with basic info:
http://www.askafreemason.org/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemasons
http://dir.yahoo.com/thespark/439/the-worlds-oldest-fraternity
and browse through tha categories in
http://dir.yahoo.com/Society_and_Culture/Social_Organizations/Freemasonry/
All these sites would give you strong foundation for your research on Freemasonry.
